Terrika began her career in sports writing for La Dulce Locura online magazine in 2012. After several months, Terrika was then offered an opportunity to host a Friday night sports talk show on the online based Sportzfam Radio Network, hence The Gridiron Gurl was born in February 2013. She later added contributing to Yahoo! Sports before taking a position with ESPN Radio in December 2014.  This was all accomplished ahead of her receiving her Masters Degree in Multimedia Journalism from Full Sail University in the summer of 2015.

Since then, Terrika has had the pleasure of producing some of the most well-known personalities in sports including, Jemele Hill, Michael Smith, Mina Kimes, Cari Champion, Sarah Spain, Matthew Berry, Field Yates, and more. She's sat down with Hall of Famers Eric Dickerson, Sheryl Swoopes, and Rebecca Lobo. She's interviewed for radio hip hop legend Ice Cube, actor Omar Epps, Power star Omari Hardwick, comedian Mike Epps and others.
