In this installment of the Detroit Worldwide Podcast, Marquis connects with fellow Wayne State University graduate, Nawara Blue about her career in TV production and her strong commitment to faith and family.
Nawara also discusses her successful run of TV shows as a producer including "Pawn Stars", "Married at First Sight", "Love is Blind, and the hit TV show, "The Vet Life", which airs on Animal Planet and stars her brother, Dr. Diarra Blue.
About Nawara:
A native of Detroit, Michigan, Nawara Blue is a graduate of Wayne State University she completed her degree in Public Relations.
She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (Beta Mu Chapter), and now calls Houston, Texas her home base.
Over the course of the last 9 years, she has played the role of intern, production assistant, coordinator, casting producer, story producer, field producer, and director along with dabbling in writing original content based on her own life’s experiences.
Some of her experience includes; Pawn Stars, Cajun Pawn Stars, Counting Cars, American Restoration, Vegas Stripped, So You Think You Can Dance, American Ninja Warrior, Vegas Mom, Micro Touch One Infomercial, Flipping The Heartland, 2015 Las Vegas Licensing Expo (Warner Bros. Consumer Products), The Real World Season 31, Married At First Sight, Love is Blind, and Little Women ATL.
She speaks with pride about having pitched the concept and produced Animal Planet’s “The Vet Life”, a reality show based on her brother, Dr. Diarra Blue and his two business partners who own and operate an Animal Hospital, an original concept of its kind.
“Blue” is most at home in the field, producing and directing.
A true collaborator she is focused, determined, thorough, timely, detail oriented, and enthusiastic about whatever project is before her.
